Despite being a newcomer to the league, GT quickly made a mark by winning the IPL title in their inaugural season, which was a remarkable achievement and made them one of the most successful new teams in IPL history.

The franchise is known for its well-balanced squad, comprising seasoned international players and emerging talents. Led by the charismatic Hardik Pandya, Gujarat Titans’ leadership and strategic approach helped them dominate the 2022 season.

Established in 2008, Punjab Kings (PBKS) is one of the original Indian Premier League (IPL) teams. The squad, which is controlled by the partnership “KPH Dream Cricket Private Ltd,” represents the city of Mohali, Punjab.

Which includes business groups and celebrities. Initially known as Kings XI Punjab, the franchise rebranded as Punjab Kings ahead of the 2021 season to reflect a fresh approach.

The team has gone through several leadership changes, with KL Rahul being the captain for multiple seasons. However, after his departure, Shikhar Dhawan took over as the new captain in 2023. Known for their aggressive style of play, PBKS is often a team that excites with its powerful hitting and strong middle-order batting.

Punjab Kings’ home ground is the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, Punjab, and the team has a strong fanbase across the region. Although they have not won an IPL title, PBKS is a team with immense potential, and their consistent search for the right combination of players and leadership gives hope for a future IPL championship.

One of the remarkable power-hitters of the white-ball and a capable right-arm medium-fast bowler, Venkatesh Iyer is a professional Indian cricketer who plays for Madhya Pradesh in the domestic leagues. Prior to his IPL debut in 2021, Iyer had already finished his MBA in finance after completing B.Com and gave up a job in “Big 4” to pursue his dreams of playing professional cricket.

Iyer made his Twenty20 debut against Railways on March 25, 2015. Though he didn’t get the opportunity to bat but took a wicket conceding 21 runs.
